A Message From the Coaches

Thank you for your continued support of Washington Rowing!  Your investment has helped us become one of the world’s elite rowing programs.  Your generous donations allow our student-athletes to study, train, race, and succeed at the highest level.  

This past year marked yet another historic season, which ended with the men securing their fourth straight national championship.  The women’s program had their strongest season in recent years, including a seventh-place finish at the national championships.   In order to transform our current success into consistent dominance in the future, we need your continued investment in our top priorities: financial aid and competitive excellence. 

Our goal for the Rowing Stewards is to raise $250,000 towards the annual fund to help support our top priorities.  These funds, along with the significant annual investment made by the UW athletic department, allow us to maintain an elite level of performance. As always, our top priority is our student-athletes, and this fund ensures they will always be able to row in one of the most competitive and supportive environments in the country. 

As our needs continue to grow, we need your personal donation to the Crew Program for the 2014 year. If you are able to make a contribution, we have three levels of giving, each offering you different elements of exposure to our team and program.  To receive your full program benefits, please make sure to make your gift by December 31^st.  More information on the different levels of giving and and their respective benefits can be found here - 2014: Support Washington Rowing

In addition to our annual fund goals, we must also increase funding for our endowments and capital needs (i.e. equipment and/or boat naming opportunities).  Should you have interest in discussing options for our major initiatives please contact Roy Shick, Associate AD for Advancement at rshick@uw.edu or 206-221-3105.
